What brought you to HLC?
I had always known of the company and its impeccable reputation. I started seriously entertaining the idea after speaking with an agent from HLC. I knew that it was the right fit for me.

How do you hope to grow at HLC?
I am excited to grow as a professional within the industry and as a person. HLC has already been such a huge influence and positive impact on my life that I hope that I can repay my appreciation and serve others.

What about your role at HLC most excites or interests you?
I am most excited about the challenge. HLC was an opportunity that I did not want to pass up and I can’t thank everyone enough. I look forward to helping our company grow within a section of the industry that we really did not focus on previously.

Which HLC value resonates the most with you and why?
We Serve. Serving others is fundamentally one of the most important values that we can have in life. It is a requirement in business and relationships and should be at the foundation for everyone.

What three words would you use to describe the HLC culture?
Service, hard-working, and team.

If you could tell one person “thank you” for helping you become the person you are today, who would it be and why?
My mom. She was always my role model growing up and I can’t thank her enough for the love she gave me. Hopefully I can make her proud one day.

Who or what inspires you?
My daughter and wife. I have never been so inspired and loved as I am with them. It drives me every single day.

How do you define success?
Achievement of personal goals, whatever those may be for an individual. Separately, not finishing second.

How do you like to spend your free time?
I spend it with my wife and daughter. They are my happy place. We go to the zoo almost every week or something geared around Ryan (our daughter). There is NOTHING better than seeing her little smile.

If you were the CEO of a company name one thing you would make mandatory in the office and one thing you would ban.
Mandatory – Team Engagement. Having the input of others, allows for new ideas, better communication, and helps drive the success of a company Having a constructive environment where staff can grow in a positive setting will immensely benefit the company years down the road. Nothing is better than having talented people work together for a common cause and everyone at HLC has been terrific.
Ban – I wouldn’t say ban but making sure to have people that share your values and are positive influences can’t be overlooked. If not, then helping them find an alternative that allows them to be happy/successful

Where is the furthest you’ve traveled?
Norway. We flew all the way there just to walk (hiking). It was a bucket list memory, and I can’t wait to go back.

Favorite quote?
“I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious.” ― Vince Lombardi

Favorite ice cream flavor?
Blue Bell’s banana split. Not even close.

What superpower would you like to have?
To Fly! Who wouldn’t want not to have to pay airfare or get stuck in traffic?

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you?
My daughter, my wife, and a drink with an umbrella. We watched LOST, we will be okay!

What’s your secret talent no one at work knows about?
Not sure about a secret talent. My secret is that I’m really 6’3, everyone just thinks I’m 5’7.

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?
A mockingbird. It’s the state bird of Texas, and I have always wanted to fly.

Last meal?
A good steak – I’m Texan. I really love oysters as well.

Welcome to HLC Tracy, we are glad you are here!
