Meet Garrett Levy, Market Analyst and new HLC Team Member!
Garrett Levy joined Holt Lunsford Commercial in 2023 and serves as a Market Analyst. He grew up in Dallas and attended Texas Christian University, earning a Major in Economics and a Minor in General Business. Before joining HLC, Garrett gained internship experience working with commercial real estate firm Avison Young. Garrett brings valuable insights and data analysis skills to the team. Outside of work, he actively engages with the local community and stays updated on industry trends.
What brought you to HLC?
Both my brother and my dad work in real estate so I knew that’s what I wanted to focus on after college. With the help of my family, I developed a list of real estate companies I wanted to look into and landed on HLC, which I’m really excited about.
How do you hope to grow at HLC?
I want to learn from the people around me. With so many brilliant real estate minds, it’s easy to take a little something from each of them every day.
What about your role at HLC most excites or interests you?
I like the freedom that comes with the job. Some jobs have such strict schedules, but here if you work hard in a timely manner, that’s the only way things will get done. It gives me the motivation to get out there and work.
Which HLC value resonates the most with you and why?
My favorite is the golden rule. I think it works well in a business context and a life context with how you treat people daily.
What three words would you use to describe the HLC culture?
Focused. Determined. Family.
If you could tell one person “thank you” for helping me become the person you are today, who would it be and why?
My father. He is the reason I’m in real estate, the reason I have a passion for it, and the reason I am who I am. From my morals to how I see right and wrong, it’s all due to my father.
What are three interesting things about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?
I’m a die-hard Saints & Mavs fan, a little too much, probably. I have two dogs, Quinn and Brees. I also have two siblings, my older brother Parker and my younger sister Claire.
How do you define success?
Success comes from being happy, whether from your work, your social life, or just sitting at home at the end of each day, enjoying what you do.

Australia
What would you invent if you could?
There must be a better way to get through airports quicker.
What would your pet say about you if we asked for a reference?
That he’s too distracted and keeps stepping on my tail!

What character would you be in a book, movie or TV show?
I would be Baby from the movie Baby Driver.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want to have with you?
A boat, a map, and some food. I would just leave.
What’s your secret talent no one at work knows about?
I’m a pretty good wakeboarder and my football knowledge is extreme.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?
A buddy of mine fell off the back of a boat, which was funny. Don’t worry; he’s okay.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
I gave my dad a few whiskey glasses and a tie for Father’s Day.
If you could steal credit for any great piece of art, song, film or book, which one would you claim?
The entire album, “The Forever Story” by JID. It’s one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. Or “Abbey Road” by the Beatles.
