Meet Ross Moncrief, Market Associate and new HLC Team Member!
Ross Moncrief joined Holt Lunsford Commercial in 2023 and serves as Market Associate in the Fort Worth Retail Division. He is responsible for executing transactions on retail assets in the Fort Worth market, representing private and institutional investors. Ross also focuses on marketing HLC properties, gathering market intelligence, and identifying Fort Worth Retail Group growth opportunities.
Born and raised in the Fort Worth area, Ross graduated from Texas Christian University in 2021 with a degree in Communications. He joins HLC with previous real estate experience, specializing in land and retail. Outside of work, Ross is involved in Stewards of the Wild (a Texas Parks and Wildlife Program), Fort Worth Steeplechase Club, and the TCU Frog Club.
What brought you to HLC?
I started noticing HLC signs around the city and became more engaged with HLC agents. I saw the culture and work ethic and it drew me in.
How do you hope to grow at HLC?
I appreciate the values, drive, and work ethic of HLC, and I hope to use these tools to grow professionally and personally.
What about your role at HLC most excites or interests you?
What excites me the most is growing with such a great company. There are a lot of mentors here and people that are great at what they do and I am excited to be able to learn from them.
What three words would you use to describe the HLC culture?

Who or what inspires you?
My family. They are very loving, caring and professional and I want to follow in their footsteps.
What are two interesting things about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?
I can do a backflip and used to race cars and dirt bikes.
How do you define success?
Being great at what I do, being a great family member, brother, son, husband, and believer.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Outdoors, travel, fly fishing, skiing, and golf.
If you were the CEO of a company, name one thing you would make mandatory in the office and one thing you would ban?
I would make casual Fridays mandatory and I would ban strong-scented candles.

I can do a really good handstand.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?
We got stuck in the Denver Airport because our plane engine caught fire as we were about to board.
If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?
Labrador, they get to do everything I like to do.
