Get to Know Hayden Parker, Market Analyst

Meet Hayden Parker, Market Analyst and new HLC team member!

Hayden Parker joined Holt Lunsford Commercial in 2022 and serves as Market Analyst in the Dallas Office division. He is responsible for gathering market intelligence, producing competitive market sets, generating weekly analysis reports, assisting brokers in lease negotiations, and marketing HLC properties. Hayden is dedicated to supporting the leasing transactions team on their approximately 5.1 million square foot portfolio of office assets, researching specified buildings, and assisting each market director with their marketing duties.

Hayden Grew up in Colleyville, Texas, then attended The University of Mississippi, receiving a BBA in Managerial Finance and a BBA in Banking Finance with a minor in Economics. While at Ole Miss, Hayden received the L.L. Bethay award for academic excellence in Finance. Before joining HLC, Hayden worked as a Credit Analyst underwriting Commercial Real Estate loans for the American National Bank of Texas.

What brought you to HLC?
The opportunity to work in commercial real estate with a firm that positively impacts the communities it serves.

How do you hope to grow at HLC?
I hope to absorb as much information from the best in the industry but also from some of the best mentors anyone could ask for that is starting their professional career.

What about your role at HLC most excites or interests you?
The opportunity to work with some of the best in the industry and the vast array of Investors and Clients we serve.

Which HLC value resonates the most with you and why?
We Serve – I think our service-oriented mindset distinguishes us from other groups and helps us focus on what’s truly important.

What three words would you use to describe the HLC culture?
Intentional, Integrity, ambitious

Who or what inspires you?
My parents but more importantly, my faith.

If you could tell one person “thank you” for helping me become the person you are today, who would it be and why?
My parents. I would not be who or where I am today without their support. My mom taught me valuable people skills that I use every day, and my dad taught me the attention to detail that comes in helpful while working in finance and life in general.

What are three interesting things about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?
I am a huge outdoorsman. I grew up hunting and fishing. That’s where I spend most of my time outside the office. I enjoy playing golf with friends and others, and it’s a great place to learn about people and what they do. Lastly, I love to travel. My dad works in the aviation industry, so growing up, I was fortunate to be able to travel the world.

If you could steal credit for any great piece of art, song, film, or book, which one would you claim?
Any song by Led Zeppelin or the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Favorite ice cream flavor?
Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate.

Where is the furthest you’ve traveled?
Still determining the furthest, but my favorite is Northern France.

How do you like to spend your free time?
Flyfishing, hunting, cooking, and watching college football.

What superpower would you like to have?
Teleport around the world. Just to travel.

If you were the CEO of a company name one thing you would make mandatory in the office and one thing you would ban?
I would make spending an hour in the outdoors mandatory. I don’t know what id ban, maybe mayo.

If you had to choose, what would your last meal be? No limits.
My last meal would be a lobster roll. I don’t care about the sides.
