What brought you to HLC?
I have always had an interest in real estate. During my job search, I met with Holden, and he offered a great amount of insight into the commercial real estate industry. With my skill set, I knew being a tenant representative was a great opportunity for me.

How do you hope to grow at HLC?
I hope to learn as much as I can about the commercial real estate industry and become as well-rounded as possible. Every day there’s an opportunity to learn, and at HLC I know that I can grow to be a leader like those who are leading me.

What about your role at HLC most excites or interests you?
My role as an industrial tenant representative allows me to meet new people. It is exciting to know that every person I meet has a different story with different needs. This allows me to help their company thrive by finding them a warehouse perfect for their company.

Which HLC value resonates the most with you and why?
“We Work Hard, Produce Results and Improve” This value encourages me to maintain an excellent work ethic because I know that with the support of the company, I have the chance to grow and learn. Through hard work, I am confident that I will reach my goals.

What three words would you use to describe the HLC culture?
Family, encouraging, entertaining

What are three interesting things about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?
I love most things pickle flavored, I sound like a donkey when I laugh, and I love to shop for cute cowgirl boots for my friends.

How do you like to spend your free time?
I enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family whether it is just riding around on a four-wheeler, doing random projects, hunting, or fishing.

If you were the CEO of a company name one thing you would make mandatory in the office and one thing you would ban?
Everyone attending Free Slurpee Day on July 11th at 7-11 gas stations is something I would mandate. On the other hand, I would not allow rap music in the office.

Everyone has a good app idea. What’s yours?
An app that syncs to your car which informs you of the distance until you run out of gas and locates gas stations along your route so you can fill up your car.  It would also advise which gas stations are affordable and which have good food. I think it would make road trips extremely efficient.

Where is the furthest you’ve traveled?
I went to France on a high school graduation trip.

What would your pet say about you if we asked for a reference?
My dog would say that “She is persistent. She always wakes me up from naps to point out squirrels in the yard.”

 Favorite ice cream flavor?
Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla.

Welcome to HLC, Abby, we are glad you are here!
