Meet Hogan Harrison, Fort Worth Industrial Market Associate and new HLC team member!
Hogan grew up in Cleburne, Texas with his parents and three brothers. He attended college at Texas A&M where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics with an emphasis on Finance and Real Estate. After graduation, he headed off to Atlanta, Georgia to work for Stream Realty Partners in their industrial services division.
During his tenure with Stream, the team grew its leasing and management portfolio from three million feet to over ten million feet; procuring business from Link Industrial Properties (Blackstone), RREEF Property Trust, DRA Advisors, Liberty Property Trust, and Cabot Properties to name a few. Hogan also played a key role in the company’s first Southeast industrial development, a speculative 280,000 square foot, Class A distribution center located along Atlanta’s I-85 S corridor.
Since the beginning of his career, Hogan has negotiated over 2,750,000 square feet of industrial real estate transactions on behalf of his institutional, regional, and local clients.
What brought you to HLC?
I was ready to come back to Texas and questioning whether or not I wanted to stay in the commercial real estate industry. I consulted with a trusted colleague and he recommended that I speak with Matt Carthey at HLC. I took his advice, met with Matt and the rest of the HLC Fort Worth team and felt that it was a great fit for me!
How do you hope to grow at HLC?
Holt and the rest of the leadership truly give their brokers the freedom and support to run and be entrepreneurial. I’m excited to use new, different, creative ways to create value for HLC.
What about your role at HLC most excites or interests you?
Having teammates and partners that I’m excited to work with and that I can trust to build something together.
Which HLC value resonates the most with you and why?
We Serve. We work in such a relationship-driven business, and people want to work with those who treat them well and who provide great customer service.
How do you define success?
I define success as being truly happy with what you do every day – we spend so much time in the workplace and being happy in our chosen profession spills over into family and personal life.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Hanging out with friends and family, golfing, snow skiing – I have great memories of family ski vacations, skiing has always been a big part of my family’s life.
Everyone has a good app idea. What’s yours?
An app that uses your phone’s camera to scan a room for germs and viruses.
“Use power to help people. For we are given power not to advance our own purposes nor to make a great show in the world, nor a name. There is but one just use of power and it is to serve people.” George W. Bush
What could you teach me to do in five minutes?
The Texas A&M football game yells!
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you?
A laptop with WiFi access, golf clubs, and a dog.
What is your secret talent that no one at work knows about?
I have a pretty good knowledge of wine, somewhat of a sommelier in training.
If you could steal credit for any great piece of art, song, film, book, etc. which one would you claim?
The sculpture, “Fearless Girl” by Kristen Visbal. The statue was first installed in New York City at Bowling Green, at the intersection of Broadway and Whitehall Street, facing down the “Charging Bull” statue. It is now located across from the New York Stock Exchange in the Financial District of Manhattan.
A steak from Del Frisco’s.
Welcome to HLC Hogan, we are glad you are here!
